Foremost, cultural competence provides clients with more opportunities to access services that reflect a cultural perspective on and alternative, culturally congruent approach to presenting problems. Douglas County Community Services Board attempts to provide a greater sense of safety from the client’s perspective, supporting the belief that culture is essential to healing. We pride ourselves in possessing a diverse yet culturally competent clinical staff that supports these ideals. All of our services are available both via Tele-Health or in person.

Edward Ajayi M.D.

(Medical Director)

Dr. Edward Ajayi, MD is a Psychiatry Specialist and has over 37 years of experience in the medical field. Dr. Ajayi has more experience with Psychotic Disorders and General Mental Health than other specialists in his area. He only accepts in person appointments only. 

Nabila Haque M.D.

(Adult & Children)

Dr. Nabila Haque, MD is a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Specialist. She currently accepts tele-health appointments only. 

Teresa Lane  APRN

(Adult & Children)

Teresa Lane serves as DCCSB Director of Nursing and is a diligent, detail-oriented nurse practitioner serving our community.  Ms. Lane is devoted to ensuring the longevity of her patients’ health and developing long-lasting relationships with them. She is available for Tele-Health and office appointments. 

Praysha Spearman LMFT

(Adult & Children)

Praysha Spearman serves as DCCSB Clinical Supervisor and is a specialist in trauma-informed therapy for individuals, couples and families in the state of Georgia. She is available for Tele-Health and office appointments.

Ashley Perry CADC II

(Adult & Adolescent)

Ashley Perry serves as DCCSB Director of Outpatient Services and is a Certified Addiction counselor well-versed in helping people overcome dependence on drugs, alcohol, and destructive behaviors like gambling.  Ashley also works with the families of  people battling addiction to assist in the healing process. She is available for Tele-Health and office appointments.

Alecia Davis CADC II

(Adult & Adolescent)

Alecia is a Certified Addiction Counselor with vast experience dealing with people whom have a criminal history and have battled homelessness while struggling with addiction. She is client focused and driven to assist with all the supports an individual needs on his/her road to recovery. She is available for Tele-Health and office appointments.

Felicia Williams LPC

(Adult)

Felicia M Williams has over 12 years of experience providing treatment to individuals, families, couples, and groups for mental and emotional health issues.  Felicia is known for treating clients with a variety of conditions, including anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, stress, and suicidal impulses. She is available for Tele-Health and office appointments.
